FAQ

Answers to the questions we are asked most often about YAM JAPAN's services and doing business in Vietnam.

1. About YAM JAPAN

Q1. What kind of company is YAM JAPAN?

We provide one-stop support across market research, business matching, local inspection tours, company establishment, exhibition support, interpretation and translation, trade, and sales channel development.
Q2. How are you different from other firms?
A.We go beyond providing information and introductions. We handle local research, hands-on execution, and continued follow-up as a single engagement. Our staff understand the culture and business customs of both Japan and Vietnam, and work alongside you from the same perspective.
Q3. Do you cover countries other than Vietnam?
A.Yes. Vietnam is our focus, but we also handle market research, local inspection tours, and business matching in neighbouring countries where required.
Q4. Can we consult with you in Japanese?
A.Of course. We work in both Japanese and Vietnamese.
Q5. Is the first consultation free?
A.Yes. The first online consultation (approximately 30–60 minutes) is free of charge. Please feel free to get in touch.

2. Entering the Vietnamese market

Q6. What should we prepare before entering Vietnam?
A.Start by clarifying your objective, target market, target customers, and investment scale. From there, YAM JAPAN will propose the most suitable entry approach.
Q7. How long does it take to establish a local entity?
A.It depends on the industry and the licences required, but typically around one to three months.
Q8. What is the difference between a representative office and a local subsidiary?
A.They differ in permitted business activities and in whether revenue can be booked locally, among other things. We will recommend the structure that best fits your objective.
Q9. Do Vietnamese regulations change frequently?
A.Yes. Tax and investment-related legislation is revised from time to time. We provide support based on the latest available information.

A.Yes. YAM JAPAN draws on a broad network of local companies, government bodies, and specialists to introduce partners suited to your business objectives.
